Find complete step by step GPRS settings for your personal computer or Laptop when you want to browse internet websites on your computer or laptop by using your mobile phone's GPRS. Here we will consider Zong as GPRS Service Provider. Follow the following steps:

Modem Settings:

• Connect your Zong GPRS Enabled Mobile Handset via Cable/ Bluetooth/ Infrared...
• Click on Control Pannel from your Start Menu.
• Double Click on "Phone and Modem Options"
• Click on Modem Option
• Select your phone data Modem and Click on "Properties"
• Select 115200 as "Maximum Speed" and click on "Advanced" tab
• Type following string in "Extra Initialization Command"

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","zonginternet"

• Click OK and you have set up your Zong GPRS enabled handset as Modem.

Dial Up Connection Settings:

• Open "Network Connections" from the Control Pannel in the Start Menu.
• Click on "Create A New Connection"
• Click on "Next"
• Select "Connect to Internet"
• Select "Set up My Connection Manually"
• Select "Connect Using A Dial up Modem"
• Type "Zong GPRS" in IPS Name and press "Next Button"
• Type *99***1# in Phone Number and click on Next button
• Leave User Name and Password blank and click on Next Button
• Select "Add Shortcut to This Connection to My Desktop" and click on Next
• A Shortcut to Zong GPRS will be displayed on Desktop.
• Now Click on Shortcut and then Click on "Dial"
• Within Moment connection to internet will be established. Enjoy Internet....

2) The world's first commercial GSM call was made in 1991 in Helsinki over a Nokia-supplied network, by Prime Minister of Finland Harri Holkeri, using a Nokia phone.

3) Nokia is currently the world's largest digital camera manufacturer, as the sales of its camera-equipped mobile phones have exceeded those of any conventional camera manufacturer.

Nokia Mobile Phone Powered by Pepsi/ Coca Cola

Daizi Zheng, a London (UK) based Chinese developer has modified a Nokia Mobile Phone to run on Pepsi, Coca-Cola or any other conventional soft drink. This is actually a concept of making bio-battery or bio-fuel cell. A modified Nokia cell phone that runs on Coca-Cola could run up to four times longer than a phone with a lithium ion battery.

Working Principal of Modified Coke Powered Nokia Mobile Phone

A coke-powered phone could potentially offer a much more environmentally friendly power source than lithium ion batteries, as explained by Daizi Zheng. The new phone's bio battery, which basically acts as a fuel cell, uses enzymes as the catalyst to generate electricity from carbohydrates.

The phone can run for several hours, and produces water and carbon dioxide as the battery runs down. The phone can then be emptied out and refilled with more Coca-Cola.

Zheng designed the phone as a client project for Nokia.

What is Bio-Battery or Bio Fuel Cell?

Bio battery is an energy source which generates electricity from carbohydrates e.g. sugar and utilizes enzymes as the catalyst. By using bio battery as the power source of the phone, it only needs a pack of sugary drink and it generates water and oxygen while the battery dies out.

The Bio battery has the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional lithium batteries and it could be fully biodegradable. Meanwhile, it brings a whole new perception to batteries and afternoon tea.

It is basically the equivalent of a fuel cell solution but without the nice sealed refill packs so your phone could get a bit sticky. If it doesn’t work as an actual main battery solution it could always work as a backup charging unit you plug your phone into.
